Justine and Dan’s ice cream coloured fete wedding at Yeldersley Hall

Old school

Well this pair were up for a fun and cheeky kinda wedding day, and I guess that’s because they are a fun and cheeky kinda couple. When I first met Justine and Dan, Justine reminded me of a super cute anime heroine with her fabulous hair, awesome fringe and beautiful big eyes, and the kind of wedding they had suited their character perfectly. They wanted a fun day, that felt like an old school village fete.

Perfectly located

Yeldersley Hall has that semi permanent marquee, set in wonderful walled gardens, complete with tennis courts, so it really fit the bill location wise. The couple chose to marry in church, then headed back to Yeldersley for photos and a relaxed, informal wedding breakfast.

David Austin roses and ribbons

Justine chose to carry a really yummy bouquet filled with David Austin roses, accented with Sweet and Peach avalanche roses and soft feathery astilbe accents. Dan wore a Juliet garden rose buttonhole that matched in perfectly with Justine’s blooms. The mixed pastels followed through on to the tables, where simple bud vases held a mix of roses. The maids carried fluffy gyp-cloud posies. everything had wonderful trailing ribbons – just like a May Pole!

And I know it’s a good sign of things to come for a couple, when the kindly new husband contacts me a few months after the wedding to buy a gift bouquet of roses ‘the same her wedding bouquet’ for ONE  of his  wife’s 30th birthday gifts – nice one Dan 11/10 for effort!

With thanks to Karienne & Elizabeth for these wonderful shots from the day
