Rain rain go away…
I met with Fern and Pete a whole year before their wedding on a busy Saturday afternoon in my favourite cafe in Ashbourne. They had travelled from out of town to bring friends and family to Ashbourne, and to introduce them to the charming village that is Ilam where they would be tying the knot at Beechenhill Farm the following year.
It had to be peony!
Fern knew that she wanted colour and texture in her bouquet and was happy to let me take charge of the overall design, but was very clear that within the design there had to be a peony (or three!) as these were her absolute faves in every inspo picture she showed to me. Thank goodness they chose to wed at the end of May when peonies are at their best!
On yer bike
After collecting copious amounts of vintage bottles, trinkets and even a darling vintage bike Fern popped over to see me and finalised all her flowery needs. Pete quietly nodded his agreement!
Roll forward few weeks and we set to work on Fern’s requests, and delivered her dream bouquet and set up the bike ready to greet their guest on arrival. Throughout the venue we dotted the assorted treasures that had been collected and left this sweet couple to go about the business of getting wed!
Can we just say a big HAAALLOOO to that amazing gown that Fern wore. That’s up there with my top fav dresses of all time – and she looked HOT!
Wishing these guys all the love, and BIG thanks to Mark Tierny Photography for sharing these images with us!
