Reaching out for something new
I’m a BIG believer in flexing creativity once in a while. It’s great to work through wedding concepts with my couples and help bring their visions to life. But I truly believe, in able for me to stay fresh, on trend and hungry for new design, I have to indulge in creativity for creatives sake sometimes.
Some old some new
So when I was approached by the team at Bowdon Lodge Farm, to help with a shoot promoting weddings in their barn I was excited to work in this new location, with a photographer who was also new to me, Dan Hughes. Along side Dan, Tara of Tara Knott Styling, Nat from Ruby Lou’s Cakes and Allie from Polly & Me all helped style the barn with our respective skill sets. While lovely Laura from LHPro and Josephine Way MAU pampered our bride to create a real wedding ready look!
Anyone who knows me knows that Autumn is my favourite season by a long shot, and I am always in LOVE with the flower choices available, and the richness of the colour combinations. Tara, briefed us with a scheme of lush fruitfulness and I think we pulled it off to perfection don’t you? I adored the flower combination used here, and mixed in with the fruit and berries and succulents on the tablescape, I mean c’mon, it literally doesn’t get any better for me.
But not only am I known for my love of Autumn, but also for my love of cake. So the kick ass creations Nat provided for us were off the hook. The colours, the figgy accents, the apricots. And Allie’s hand lettered stationary on the day was the high standard we all know and love her for. It was all such perfection.
So whether it’s with old friends or new, it good to hang out and just see what happens sometimes, don’t you think? Thanks for having us along…
