A tipi feast for the eyes!
Earlier this year I was fortunate to be given almost ‘carte blanche’ to create a styling and floral theme for the Peaktipis spring open weekend, hosted at The Heath House in Staffordshire. Working with the dedicated and incredibly hard working team at Peaktipis we pulled together a super luxe look that suited the elegance of the country house setting, and challenged the theory that tipis are for rustic weddings only.
I was keen to create a fully opulent look, and the starting point was ‘that’ amazing dress I selected with the help of Lorraine from Lori G Bridal in Derbyshire. The voluminous tulle and lace gown had shades of pinks and blues within the skirt and I used this as the colour direction for the rest of the styling. I pulled together the best and most beautiful blooms available to create a to die for bouquet and finished the bridal styling with a unique floral hair piece and necklace. The long tables were brimming with foliage runners, guilded candle sticks and compotes, with golden grapes and apples to give it that little bit extra. The hand painted stationary by Yellowstone Art Boutique and cakes and treats by Bake Ashbourne fitted perfectly with the scheme.
As with all shoots, you’re in the hands of the photographer, and I’m sure you’ll agree that Ben from HBA Photography has created an awesome set of images for us all to enjoy!
And if you want the hairs on your arms to stand on end watch this beautiful film by Jason Lynch. And yes, the models are a real couple – can’t you tell?
